Location: SWKT Computer lab.
Time: Sometime when I was supposed to be studying
Event: I entered the lab and strategically placed myself in between two guys and across from three more. All this to increase my chances of interaction. And soon it began. Eyes darting here and there. Ring check. All clear. Let it begin. Enter Exhibit A. A handsome RM with seemingly good hygiene. Short hair, trimmed nails, no stubble on his face (either a frequent shaver or one not terribly afflicted with hair- good sign for the chest too!), and nice teeth. I grinned inwardly and began the exchange of glances. A quick one here, a longer one there, a long sigh and a longing look at my ring finger. No, but I did scratch my nose a time or two to make it easier for him to ring check me. After a few brief moments of eye contact I decided to lay it on him. I gave him an all out sparkly eyed smile. I didn't know the effect this would have on the recipient, expecting a shy smile in return. However, I must have scared the poor guy off. He quickly returned to his computer beginning his problem solving, surely working on something critical like saving the world. Surely he didn't have time to leave his crucial plans to continue the silent flirting with the smiley girl across the table :)

Right, but try that same table at the same time on the same day of the week, or maybe the off day (if this happened today, try again Friday or Monday), and see if he's there a little more brave this time. I'm sure you don't have too much trouble with that gorgeous smile of yours! :)
ahhh too funny. When I first got to BYU I didn't know it was necessary to check for rings, that was a fun one. Totally thought I was flirting and then I realized he was married, awkward. Man those were some fun times, enjoy them while they last.
